DTCP Accelerator OS65650

The OS65650 DTCP accelerator is a highly specialized VHDL IP block for ‘authentication and key exchange’ and multimedia content cipher processing. The IP block has to be implemented as a memory-to-memory device with a host system bus wrapper around it.

A few highlights:
  • Full AKE and M6 Cipher Engine
  • DTCP accelerator for sources and sinks
  • Independently encrypts or decrypts up to 8 channels simultaneously
  • Encryption of up to 150 bytes of data per MOST frame @133 MHz
  • Complete AKE math can be accomplished in under 8 million clock cycles; this is equal to about 60 ms @133 MHz
  • Size: 10K ASIC gates and 1K DFFs (not including the memory blocks)
  • SRAM type of interface to host controller
  • Fully synchronous and fully synthesizable VHDL code
