The MOST NetServices API V3 has been designed for SMSC's Intelligent Network Interface Controllers (INIC) for MOST150 and MOST50. The INIC circuit implements time-critical, resource-intensive and fail-safe relevant parts of the network driver on-chip. MOST NetServices API V3 together with the INIC provide a software interface to the MOST network low level system services. MOST NetServices provides access to all data transportation mechanisms on a MOST network, while at the same time ensuring compatibility with the MOST Specification Rev 3.0.
