The MOST network comes up faster as a result of not having to wait for EHC to initialize. INIC functionality independent from the EHC can be explored by enabling Stand-alone mode. In this mode, the EHC does not interact with INIC and INIC's network initialization and responses can be evaluated remotely. The Power Manager monitors the power input and provides power status to the INIC, which can be used to power down the INIC Audio Interface into Sleep mode. Power management can be enabled or disabled. Remote ControlsThe INIC Audio Interface can be controlled by remote controls designed for operation on multiple SMSC devices like OptoLyzer G2, OptoLyzer, or an INIC evaluation platform. INIC Audio Interface supports standard MOST functions for the supported FBlocks AudioAmplifier and AuxIn, which can be controlled from other modules on the MOST network. A line-level input allows to source analog stereo audio data onto the MOST network. Additionally, INIC Audio Interface can sink audio data coming from the MOST network and drive headphones directly. The figure below illustrates a typical application using the INIC Audio Interface in a MOST network.
