Future Prospects

MOST's data rate of 25 Mbits/s is sufficient for the needs of multimedia networking in cars where the number of users/channels and the useful video data size usually is restricted.
MOST50 and MOST150 both enhance the usable data stream for more different channels like more users need e.g., in multi seat minivans or motor-busses. With the higher speed grades of the MOST multimedia network more features can be implemented like real time camera transmission e.g., for parking assistance or infrared night view; the available bandwidth allows to implement even high definition video streaming.
The available physical layers and speed grades enable futureproof infotainment solutions for a wide range of automotive platforms.
