V2.0.3 NS V3 NS V2 NS V1 oPHY ePHY MediaLB DTCP MOST150 MOST50 MOST25 DescriptionThe controller includes a MOST network interface, a micro-controller, two DSPs, internal flash memory, and several A/D and D/A converters. There are analog inputs for one stereo signal and an electret microphone. The controller built into the amplifier provides digital sound processing for eight independent output audio streams. The amplifier can be used in different listening environments. The available parameters can be set by sending Control Messages over the MOST network. The integrated MOST NetServices provide the software services needed to communicate with other MOST devices. The amplifier is optimized relating to cost, size, EMC performance and operation in an automotive environment. Amplifier 4 MOST is part of a collection of devices based on application specific media controllers that are available from SMSC to quickly get started with the implementation of MOST devices. HardwareThe functions integrated into the Amplifier 4 MOST allow for a compact design where the majority of functions are implemented within a single chip. Only a few peripheral components are added to provide power amplifiers. The Amplifier 4 MOST includes the following hardware functions:
SoftwareThe Amplifier 4 MOST includes SMSC's MOST NetServices software needed to connect to a MOST network and to interact with other MOST devices. The following audio processing functions are included:
